Here we see differences in speech information for the vowels "uh" as in "hut" and "ay" as in "hay". Although these vowels have similar lip shapes, they clearly differ in the position of the tongue and the shape of the cheeks. These differences can be felt in your own mouth by alternating back and forth between saying "uh" and "ay"
